new DL380 G5 + SA P800

I've just opened a box containing a DL380G5 brand new.

I've dismounted the installed controller SA200 and inserted a new P800 used only for test in another system (DL360 G5).

the DL380 came with the smart start 7,60.

the controller was already upated with new firmware coming from PSP 7.80. (ver 2.10)

at POST, I'm able to see the P800 and configure everything I need.

starting SMARTSTART 7.60, I'm not able to install the OS because, running ACU, the controller it's not detected.

right now I'm downloaing the SmartStart 7.80 cd and I'll try with this.

should it be a solution?

any idea?

Hi,

According to this site:

The P800 was due to be supported by Linux in January 2007. SmartStart 7.60 came out on 25 Sep 06 and as it is based around Linux it probably hasn't got the updated drivers for the P800.

I'd expect SmartStart 7.80 to work fine.

downloaded SmartStart 7.80.
everything works fine.

was indipendent from the os.
