no NIC on Windows 2008 on DL320 G3
Please help me out with an installation of Windows 2008 W32 server on a DL320 G3 server. HP support has verified my server and told me Windows 2008 is supported on my specific server. After installing the latest PSP(recommended and linked by HP support) the problems still aren't solved.
The problems I am experiencing are that the NIC adapters do not work. The are not even shown in the device manager. There are some issues with the following devices:
* Intel(R) 82801FB/FBM PCI Express Root Port - 2660
* Intel(R) 6700PXH PCI Express-to-PCI Bridge B - 032A
* Intel(R) 6700PXH PCI Express-to-PCI Bridge A - 0329
I think the the NIC's are not shown because of the problem with the PCI Express Root Port.
There are Windows 2008 drivers for the DL320 G3, but they also do not work (check the screen shots in the attachment):

I tried the following things (after every installation I installed the latest Win2008PSP):
* I have tried installing Windows 2008 server on two identical DL320 G3 machines
* I have installed Windows2008 SP2 (RC) to be sure the latest Windows drivers were installed
* I have installed Windows2003 server and then upgraded to Windows 2008 server. In Windows 2003 the NIC's work; after the upgrade the not anymore
* I have tried installing the HP NC-Series Intel Driver for Windows Server 2008 (check the attachment)
* I have tried to upgrade the Intel Chipset Device Software, with no results
Does anyone know what else to try? I still think it must be possible to install Win2k8 on my DL320 G3's.
Thank you in advance for your help!

your server has an Embedded NC7782 Dual Port PCI-X 10/100/1000T Gigabit network adapter

Re: no NIC on Windows 2008 on DL320 G3
Juan, Thank you for your reply. I had already tried installing the 2008 drivers for the NIC (see my original message). The error occured is attached to this message.
I still think the 'Intel(R) 82801FB/FBM PCI Express Root Port - 2660' device is the problem.
I hope you can help me with this!
Arnoud

Re: no NIC on Windows 2008 on DL320 G3
Finally I solved this problem. HP support kept referring to 'ProLiant Networking Software' and other bundled updates. I found out that there were no valid drivers in these packages for DL320 G3 servers.
Solution: install the 'Online ROM Flash Component for Windows - HP ProLiant DL320 G3 (D18) Servers' from http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=3288091&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=427542&swLang=8&taskId=135&swEnvOID=4022#12212 and then reboot.
