not able to use cd-rw, or dvd player
I experienced a system crash, in which I had to reload using the restore disks. After re loading , the cd-rw , and dvd icons are not on desk top, Nor in the program menu. I'm unable to find any information in the help section concerning this. I also sent compaq a message concerning this, and was not able to make heads or tails out of their response. I'm sure there are probably other programs that the restore disks did not restore. Anyone with knowledge on this matter please respond.

cdrw's and dvd's are non standard server components so no the restore disks would not set them back up since there is no support for them..you will need to reinstall whatever drivers you installed originally to get them working...if you bought the server this way then whoever you bought it from configured those drives because again these options are NOT available usually for servers
