not booting up after a third smart controller installed
We have a prolint 7000 wich has 2 smart 2dh controllers after trying to install a third controller the system would not boot got to the blue screen and just before the dots come across it hung saying system has been halted
When installing the card it is recognised and you can configure it using smartstart but does not go into NT
We had another problem when installing a a extra DLT drive could not get it to work on the second onboard scsi channel had to configure it to run on the first channel, i would like to get 1 DLT drive on each channel and also install a extra smart 2dh controller
is there anyone out there who could help

Re: not booting up after a third smart controller installed
it sounds like when you installed the new controller your controller boot order changed in the F10..go into F10 if you can and set the controller order properly to where your boot drives are..
