opensuse 11.4 X64 on DL380G7 and issue with "hpsa" in the systemlog

  Good morning,

I was sent here to the discussion forum about my issue with "hpsa" module. After raising scsi logging I got a complains in the system log:

sda is a system disc(two SAS in the mirror), sdb and sdc are two single
discs for a swap.

What does mean complains "Illegal Request [current]" and "Invalid field
in cdb". Really seems that it is trying to speak to array but with "bad
commands".

Thank you very much for your time.

For RHEL6 there is a version 3.0 of the hpsa module.

Yes, I'm familiar about them now. I tried update over you one by one update, make one update, reboot, another update, reboot. After updating cifs-utils from 4.9-1.3.1 to 4.9-1.5.1 the complains about "hpsa" started. Samba or winbind is not used or running. After complains I uninstall cifs-utils with samba. Complains remains. Interesting is that the complains are after about 5 minutes. Is it able co find what process want to check hp array ?

 Thanks
