power on/off the server
After installation an additional SCSI-controller (Adapted 2940 UW) we can't switch on the server. After remove the controller it's the same problem: we can't switch on the server. Please answer as fast as possible. Thank you.

Re: power on/off the server
Unplug and reseat all connections to the sysem board. Do you get any POST beep codes or is the system completely dead? If the system is still unbootable and acts dead, check and see if the fan in the power supply spins when you press the power switch. If it does, replace the system board under your Compaq warranty. If the the fan does not spin, replace the power supply.

Re: power on/off the server
Dear User
We had the same Problem, the Expansion Board was not right in the System Board Slot. Check Mini LED on the System Board in the near of the Exp. Board, in Bad Condition it brights RED.
Kind regards
