power requirements for ML570 G3

Hello, recently we bought 5 ML570 G3 servers and HP has supplied a 15 AMP power cable but our circuits are only 10 AMP. I want to know if this would be cause any harm to the servers by running them on 10 AMP circuits. Pls advise. Thanks

See here for the power requirements (page 40)...

Depending on your voltage, you may or may not have an issue.

It is very weird to only have a "10amp" circuit. Most normal circuits are 15amp's or 20.. or 30. Since I don't know your environment, I can't say you have a normal circuit.

My guess is that you "could" run on the 10 AMP circuits, but you may run into problems when you hard boot or have a power failure - the initial current draw could pop your breakers. There is also the issue of support from HP - the wrong power connection could void any warranty or maintenance contract.

From the PDF, it looks like the European power cords are 16 AMP, and US cords are 15 AMP or 20 AMP.
