predictive failure and failure
Dear Hpe community
I have HP gen 8 dl 380 server with 500gb x 6 hard drives, during the weekend we had a power failure and the server went down.
When we come baclk to work we boot the server and we got 3 drivers with predictive failure warning and one failure drive.
We replace the failure drive and for more than 3 days, it is in the rebuild status.
The virtual machine within the server are unaccusable and sometimes it shows some respond.
Please advise.
Regards

Re: predictive failure and failure
Hi @MAZ123
it is approximately 15 minutes per gigabyte for the rebuild process to complete.
but 3 days for 500GB it is strange.
What is the firmware of the array controller?
did you tried to update the controller firmware with SPP? http://h17007.www1.hpe.com/us/en/enterprise/servers/products/service_pack/spp/index.aspx?version=Gen8.1

Re: predictive failure and failure
Do you have Cache module and Battery Pack installed in your machine?
I hope you have a backup of your data - rebuilding a raid from "predictive failed" drives might fail.
