proliant 1600 bios management display

I purchased an Integrated Management Display to go along with my Proliant 1600. When I turn on the server, the display powers up and shows the model and firmware. Its model 56022 firmware 1.9. I can't get the bios to detect it is there though, the bios is just greyed out and says "not installed". I made sure its plugged in properly, and have tried to manually add it in the compaq config utility with a no go. Please help.

Hi Claude,

Thanks for your reply, the bios is already updated to P08. Is there a chance this display is not compatible with my proliant? The model # on the back of the LCD display is 169338-002. Thank you for your time.
