proliant 1800r

receving error on boot,

"processor in incorrect slot".

I have tried changing slots and porcessors and still recive the same error.

First, is this an 1850R or a 1600? Second, are these processors purchased from HP or Compaq? Third, what speed are they?

this is a single cpu 1800r purchased through compaq. I have tried other porcessors from similar servers that I have with no luck.

I am getting the same error. I tried to add an memory chip and on reboot I got the Processor in incorrect slot -System Halted! error message.
