proliant 5500 ppro 200 question

proliant 5500 ppro 200 question

I was woundering if it's possable to stick a ide controller in the ppro and chuck some ide hard drives in the thing ?, I've talked to tech support they doubht it but said give it a try, So i thought i would ask here if anyone has attempted it with any success??

AFAIK the BIOS of the P5500 doesn't support IDE hard drives.

If you add an IDE controller that has its own BIOS it *MIGHT* work. But I don't know anybody who tried this.
