Re: proliant 6000
Are you trying to turn on your system with the cover open?

Re: proliant 6000
as antonio, asked you, this server will not boot untill you cover-up it. the cover presses some sensor, by which the power circuit gets completed and then server gets powered on. if you already done it ( covered it), please reseat all the boards again. ( memory board, processor board etc.).
regards,

Re: proliant 6000
I hAD THE SAME PROBLEM AS YOU. i FIDDLED ABOUT UNTIL I CAME TO THE PROCESSORS. I FOUND OUT THAT THE PROCESSORS WERE MIXED UP IN THE WRONG SOCKET. TRY FIDILLING WITH THE PROCESSORS.:)

P.S THERE IS NOT A INTERLOCK SWITCH ON THE LATCHES FOR THE COVERS OF THE SERVER:)
