proliant 800 don't boot
I try to start a proliant 800 with one proc some ram and it don't boot,
when i power on, all fans starts, the green led (cpu 1 pwr) is on and the led cpu 1 err is off but nothing on screen, no bips ...
what type of memory does it take ? i've tried sdram @100, @133 and edo but it still don't boot,
must I plug two memory ? on which bank ?
With only one cpu I only need one VRM, no ?
can anybody help me please ?

Re: proliant 800 don't boot
There are several Proliant 800 models.
Pentium Pro: 66MHz FSB unbuffered EDO 60ns with parity
Pentium II : 100 MHz FSB registered SDRAM with parity
You can add one memory module at a time.

I'm not sure. Often they have a odd number of memory chips.
