Hi!

DL 380 G3, the manual says, that they always start at normal speed...

But, it's to noise...and the HP sayied that we can not control nothing (only the temperature), because automatically (hardware and Software)....it's true?

To limit the noise (fan speed) on the DL380G3 you will need to have:

and...

b) The latest Health Driver:

I already installed the last support pack...
and the update for BIOS, but the online version...what is the diference between online and diskette?? It´s not the same?
(I have Windows server 2003)

I posted the link to the diskette because I did not know what O/S you had. The online bios updates are usually more up-to-date than the diskettes!

back to the original question... when the O/S loads (i.e., Windows 2003 starts) do the fans slow down?

on line bios: run executable on the server, server reboot and your done.
Off line bios: run executable that will generate a bootable floppy, boot the server with the floppy make your update, reboot and your done.

About the orignal problem, firmware is always good to have up to date but the only thing that will slow down your fan is the health driver.
