proliant DL585 disk options
I brought an DL585 with no disks just to do some comp intensive work, no online, no networking.
Can anyone recommend the simplest disk setup, just 1 disk, etc. that will get me started.
Or do I need specific HP scsi 320 80 pin disks, etc.?
Thank you

Re: proliant DL585 disk options
Hi, generali you can use any 80pin u320 disk, bu you need HP disk cage to put it into server. Do you have such HP scsi disk cages?

Thank you very much.
I will be getting some cages
from another server. I think.
Am I right in assuming that there are
two 'cages', 1 is a plastic holder, and
the inside cage is the pin contacts from
the disk to the back plane?
Thanks again.

Re: proliant DL585 disk options
Generally - all backplane conectors are ready and prepared, you just need drives and disk cages.
If I remember our DL585, it has 4 disk positions.
