proliant dl380 g4 adding a new raid

Hi,
I have one proliant dl380 g4 server with windows drives (C:,E:). Now i want to add a new drive to store some files(F:).Actual situation is below.

Smart Array 6i Controller in Embedded Slot
36.4 GB Parallel SCSI Unassigned Drive at Port 1 : SCSI ID 4
36.4 GB Parallel SCSI Unassigned Drive at Port 1 : SCSI ID 5
Parallel SCSI Array A

36.4 GB Parallel SCSI Drive at Port 2 : SCSI ID 0
36.4 GB Parallel SCSI Drive at Port 2 : SCSI ID 1
Logical Drive 1 ( 34727 MB, RAID 1+0 )

Parallel SCSI Array B

72.8 GB Parallel SCSI Drive at Port 1 : SCSI ID 2
72.8 GB Parallel SCSI Drive at Port 1 : SCSI ID 3

I want to add a new raid 1+0 with a capacity of 300 GB. For this reason, i need to replace unused 32.5 GB disks with 300 GB disks. But i didnt do it before. This is why i am little bit nervous.
I planned to do this items sequentially:
1) Shutdown server and take out 35 GB disk
2) Plug in new two 300 GB disks.
3) Start the server
4) Use Array Configuration Utility to create a new raid 1+0
5) Use this new logical drive in Windows

My questions:
a)Do i need to have backup of the server?
b)Is there any missing step?
c)Do you have any advice?
Thanks
