have just obtained an old proliant DL380 G1 server and am having trouble creating a large enough logical drive..the system has 3 hard drives ,2 of which are 18g and 1 being 9g..the f8 option[create logical drive] will only let me make a logical drive of 26g..any help would be most appreciated

3*9 = 27 minus some meta data, so it looks fine.

If you combine multiple disk drives of different size in an array, the smallest one defines the capacity that is taken from all disks.

one more question ..there are 4 drive bays one has a blank in there ..can i remove the 9g hard drive and leave it empty or do i need a blank in there??
