proliant drive array configuration

i have a proliant 1600, with a SMART-2SL drive array controller.
i used the system erase utility, and i have configured the bios, but i cannot configure the array contoller as it needs windows, and i cant install windows untill i have configured the array controller.

help?

Do you use SmartStart CD?
If yes - there is Array configuration utility on SmartStart CD. Using ACU you configure array before OS installation.

i have the startsmart 5.5 cd i downloaded it, but it wont boot from it, i have booted from the windows install disk no problem, as well as the firmware mantenice cd but it wont boot from the startsmart disk.
