proliant ml350 g5+g6: usb 3.0 controller + e-sata controller

hi,

i search an usb 3.0 controller and an e-sata controller for an hp proliant ml350 g5 and an ml350 g6. i called the hp support hotline and the nice guy told me that he would send me some informations but he send me only the quickspecs inforamtions :-( then i try the hp support chat and the guy told me that he send me some mails. three days later no hp mail in my mailbox, so i try it here in the forum.

i found the following usb 3.0 controller:

can anybody help?

i would be good when somebody used such controllers with esx 5.0

The ML350 G5 and G6 servers do not have, as a recommended option, a USB 3.0 and e-SATA controller, which would be clear to you by referring the quickspecs of the servers.

The PCI-E interface can be installed in the server and may be detected during POST. As this is not a recommended option for these servers currently, there are no drivers available for it from these servers’ driver download page. Hence, it can be said that it may be possible to physically install the card in the server, but may not be possible to get them to work due to unavailable drivers. However, you may try using the media that may have been shipped with this card to check if the driver provided would make it work.
