proliant ml370 g3 disk performance problem

i think i've some problem with performance. When i copy a large file (about 1.8 GB) it takes about 100 seconds to complete. On other servers the same operation takes 24 seconds about. On this server we have 5 physical disks and 2 logical disks: one array raid 1 and one array raid 5 ADG with 3 disks. The SCSI Controller is a SmartArray 6400 with 320 MB cache set to 50% write and 50% read. The operative system is windows 2003 sp1, no antivirus installed and during the test no user connected to the server. What should i do ?

Re: proliant ml370 g3 disk performance problem

Hi,

Try to run ADU on your system to check is there issues on the raid or any errors reported.

Second.
Check with PAT/l&TT system performace option to monitor the performance of the system.

Hi,

Download

Re: proliant ml370 g3 disk performance problem

Hi Stefano

1. Do you have the same environment on other server?

2. Is other server the same model, same internal hardware?

3. Is other server running same applications as this server?

We need to compare in exactly same environment

Mahesh
