"No SCSI Devices detected" Array Question

When by Proliant 3000 perfom the POST it display the a SmartArray 3200 Controller is detected. But in the next Line: "No SCSI Devices Detected". What┬┤s that? Does it meens that no "internal" SCSI-Device an attached, exp. the Drives in the Array-Cage!? The HDD┬┤s are available at SmartStart Konfig but didn┬┤t shown at POST. Is it norma

is a cable from 3200 to cage connected ?

I think so, because i can configure an Array with the SmartStart Utility and can perform an install of Netware. But Netware 6.5 still have Problems starting after installation. LSL.NLM can├В┬┤t be opend...

Robert:

The message you are seeing is from the dual channel SCSI controller, not the array controller. You should see the array controller init and show
Example below:

Slot 4 Smart Array 3200 Coltroller (version 4.50) 2 Logical Arrays

The message showing no SCSI devices can be ignored if you do not have any tape drives or other SCSI devices attached.

Hmmm, I thought that Netware 6.5 has already the right drivers for teh Proliant 3000 because Netware Install detected a N100 NIC. I think that should be the right one, isn├В┬┤t
