"SMP motherboard not detected" with Redhat 9.0 and Proliant 8000
I try to install redhat 9.0 with proliant 8000 with dual PIII xeon 550, the kernel can't not detected the 2nd cpu, then can't run with SMP,
in message log show :"SMP motherboard not detected"
any one have idea to solve this problem ?
my Kernel : Kernel-smp-2.4.20.20.9

I know this is an old message, but if anybody needs i booted with SMP kernel my Red Hat Linux sucessfully by adding the nomca and noapic option to the kernel.
Also on very old proliant models, you should setup the os type to unixware.
