"hpssacli ctrl all show config" stuck
I did a:
hpssacli ctrl all show config
on a dl380p g8 box running RHEL release 6.5.
The command simply stuck: I waited a couple of minutes without seeing
any output before hitting ctrl-c to terminate the task.
rpm say there are the following 2 packages installed:
rpm -aq | grep -i hpssa
hpssa-1.60-17.0.x86_64
hpssacli-1.60-17.0.x86_64
Firmware release of the HP Smart Array P420i Controller is 5.42.
Any help in understanding what's going on appreciated.
Thanks,
Giovanni

Re: "hpssacli ctrl all show config" stuck
# hpssacli
HP Smart Storage Administrator CLI 1.60.17.0
.... nothing else ... stuck
For the sg module I did and lsmod, output follow:
lsmod | grep -i sg
sg 29350 0
Thanks for helping.

Re: "hpssacli ctrl all show config" stuck
That is a pretty old version (Feb 2014) you might try a newer release

Re: "hpssacli ctrl all show config" stuck
Well, the last release "fixed" the problem.
Thanks.

Re: "hpssacli ctrl all show config" stuck
You might want to look at the SDR (Software Delivery Repository) it allows you to add a repo file so you can keep all the HP software updated using yum
