"no hard disks found. megaraid ide cannot be configured"

This message appears when installing a scsi HD as the only hard disk:
"no hard disks found. megaraid ide cannot be configured"
Windows 2000 starts though, and the pc works fine. The only thing that bothers me is that message and the HD led on the front is not working.
Thanks in advance

Guido,

What system are you installing this in? We need more info.

Oops! sorry!

I have a Proliant ML330e with the BIOS updated (2002).

Thanks for answering.

Re: "no hard disks found. megaraid ide cannot be configured"

It would seem the error is not coming from the SCSI controller if you have a single SCSI drive working. It looks as if you have an IDE RAID controller in the box also, it is loading in it's BIOS, finding no drives attached, producing the error and unloading itself. You can simple disable the BIOS for now and you will not see the error message.

I'll give it a try.

Thanks!
