Re: "perception" of 4 cpus in ML530G2 2 way server !?
I have 4 DL360 G3 servers. All 4 servers are configured the same yet 2 of the 4 think they have 4 CPUs rather than 2. I changed the NUMBER_OF_PROCESSORS parameter to 2 and then rebooted but it still goes back to 4. These are 1U servers that have a max of 2 CPUs. The OS is Windows 2000 Advanced Server.

I must say that these forums suck. Painfully slow to load each page and it can't even get the submit correctly. I hit submit on the post and then nothing happens. No redirect back to the forum or anything. It just sits there.

Re: "perception" of 4 cpus in ML530G2 2 way server !?
Is there a problem? This is hyperthreading and is enabled by default in the Rom Based Setup.
More info can be had from:

The truth is out there, but I forgot the URL..
