raid controllers
Will the smart array 5304 in a proliant dl380 support under sco unix ver 5.04, five 18.2GB drives on each scsi channel of the smart array.

It should be supported, you will use the bootstring with the ciss link.
boot: defbootstr link=ciss hd=Sdsk Srom=wd(0,0,0,0)
don't forget to download the BTLD from the Web, and create the EFS diskettes
you will prompted to insert the ciss driver after the defbootstr command ..so insert I think # 4
