- SAS (Serial attached SCSI) models include the HP Smart Array P600/256 BBWC Controller.
- SCSI models include the integrated Smart Array 6i Ultra320 Array Controller with optional 128MB of Battery Backed Write Cache.
6i controller supports:
- RAID 5 (Distributed Data Guarding)
- RAID 1+0 (Striping and Mirroring)
- RAID 1 (Mirroring)
- RAID 0 (Stripping)
P600 controller supports:
- RAID 6 (Advanced Data Guarding)
- RAID 5 (Distributed Data Guarding)

Smart Array 6i Controller - is integrated in motherboard
HP Smart Array P600 Controller - is the 64-bit, PCIX 133-MHz Card (should be added in the order)

The only RAID level you can run with this configurations is RAID 0 also known as JBOD (Just a Bounch of Disks), and as it name says is just some disks and the System (OS) will recongnize them alll of them but as a different letter as logical each one.
I recommend you to get a Smart Array controller, HP also has a very cheap ones.
