se326m1 processor support
hi there,
im currently trying to test a batch of xeon L5630 cpus, however the only machines i have that will physically take them are se326m1 servers but these fail to post with the processors installed but work fine with the stock cpus they came with,
does the se326m1 support the xeon l5630?
any help appreciated

Hello Lee,
SE326M1 does not support L5630. In Low Wattage CPU range it has got support for Intel L5520.

Though your server model is not listed in the below HP Customer advisory, but it uses same type of CPU socket (Like Intel based ProLiant G6/ G7). Therefore i would advise you to always follow below guidelines while removing/ replacing CPU on your server:
