server failure - DL 145 G2
hi, another question on iLO.
It's a DL145 G2 which fails to start. There are no red/amber lights or anything and at first glance everything seems to be ok but then there is no display and it just doesn't start up. It doesn't even go through the POST routine I think, and no beeps too. The hard disk light blinks for a second and then it does the same with the CD drive. Then it just sits there, all fans working.
I suspect it is a motherboard or a CPU issue. Strangely, when accessing it through the LO100i port (via browser), it shows the system status as normal? Now, is this normal?? I tried reseating the memory and checking anything obvious. Incidentally, warranty on this has expired.
Any troubleshooting steps you can think of, please let me know. Thanks a lot.
I even tried putting in a bootable CD.

Re: server failure - DL 145 G2
I have seen similair before.
Do you have 2 or more memory DIMMs? Try removing all but 2. If that doesn't work swap Back 1 and Bank 2.
