how can i update DL380 G7 to accept newest intel cpu?

I don't think that it's possible. You can add only specific CPUs to the server. What's the CPU, that you want to install?

I think on the G7 it requires the Xeon 5000 series, this is not the newest version of the processor.

 

The fastest processor you can upgrade to in this range is the Intel Xeon X5690. I think this should be ok in this machine as HP sell it on their website.
