simple question about PL1600

I have to install SBS2000 on this sever.
I need to be notified by e-mail if an array disk fail.
Which is the simplest way to accomplish this object without installing Insight manager (i have to control only this server) ?

Install the latest agents and run the Insight agent notifier. It is made to do exactly what you want.

Additional info:

befor you install insight agents update system BIOS and Smart Array controller firmware, also update OS drivers.

If you install 'new' insight agents on a system with 'old' firmware/OS drivers you might get problems.

thanks in advance for the reply (past and future).

First of all i remove the hp agents.
Then I upgrade ROM Bios and Smart Array 221 Bios.
After this I re-installed the latest hp management insight agent but...
the HP inside event notifier service does not start (which is, if I understand, the service I need).
It say: "hp management event notifier was terminated with specific error 1"

any suggestion ?

Same problem except my SNMP services had disappeared from server. Reinstalled SNMP but still a no go on Insight
