smart array controller

We are intermittently receiving the following messages from Insight Manager:

'Array Accelerator Status Change' alarm received from SERVERNAME at 14:48 on 28/03/01

An 'Array Accelerator Status Change' trap signifies that the status of a Compaq Array Accelerator Cache has changed.

Array Accelerator Status : Temporarily Disabled
Controller Slot Number : 5

Followed by:

'Array Accelerator Status Change' alarm received from SERVERNAME at 14:50 on 28/03/01

An 'Array Accelerator Status Change' trap signifies that the status of a Compaq Array Accelerator Cache has changed.

Array Accelerator Status : Enabled
Controller Slot Number : 5'

The controller is a SMART II DH with 5x 9.1GB hot plug hard drives. This is happening about once every two days, is it anything to worry about?

Thanks

Re: smart array controller

My guess is that you have a faulty cache or cache battery on the controller. If you are not worried about performance too much you can always disable the cache altogether in the Array configuration utility.
