Re: smart start

Hello Phil,
Y 7.80 when SS 7.91 is available here :
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=uk&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=1121516&prodNameId=3288134&swEnvOID=1005&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=MTX-1c11694001fb4c31b3c1c04b27

For which server are u trying to use this ?
Do you get any specific errors ?

Burning this ISO image is quite simple no special tactics required.

Regards.

Re: smart start

You did **create** an ISO image - from what?

The ready-to-burn images are available for download, e.g. this:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=0&prodSeriesId=3219233&swItem=MTX-1c11694001fb4c31b3c1c04b27&prodNameId=3288112&swEnvOID=1005&swLang=8&taskId=135&mode=4&idx=1

smartstart-7.91-0.zip (558 MB)

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: smart start

What means "does not work"?

Does not boot?

Looks like your "extract ISO" software does only extract the data part, but not the boot part of the disk.

You can try to use the "hpusbkey" tool to "copy" a disk to an usb stick and add additional files.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: smart start

If you accesing the system remotely over iLO, Download the ISO image to the system you using to access iLO, launch the virtual media applet in iLO and select the virtual CD/DVD-ROM, click the local image file radio button and browse to where you have the .iso image and click the connect button. No need to burn the media, the iLO virtual media applet can use the iso image.
