smartstart cant see drives (or 6i embedded controller)
cant install with smartstart.
bad controller, backplane, drives?
any thoughts?
could it e a bad power source ( wall outlet )?
i'm stuck.
hp is sending new motherboard (controller),
backplane, and drive.
could it be something else

Re: smartstart cant see drives (or 6i embedded controller)
I'm not sure about the 6i's but I've come across a few faulty 5i's. They are the mezzanine type boards,- is 6i the same ?
If it is you may wish to try removing and reinstalling the board firmly. Replace the 6i board with a known good one.
Regards
