solaris 9 9/04 install on ML570G2 server
i've met strange trouble installing Solaris 9 x86 9/04 on our new ProLiant ML570 G2 server.
first of all, i've downloaded 3 ISO images from Sun and burned them on CDs.
next, i've choose Solaris type of OS in server's BIOS.
then i've boot the machine off first CD. first strangeness apeared when DCA scans for hardware. it says:
Loading escd.rf
Warning: Resource conflict - both devices are added
NON-ACPI device: xxxx
ACPI device: xxxx
(in xxxx fields different ports/irqs/etc are shown)
then i've added drivers for SmartArray 6402 from latest DU diskette.
this part of installation completes succesfully.
then i trying to boot of HDD. once again DCA starts, once again i add drivers.
but when DCA begins to load drivers next message apears:
'Loading Driver cadp160.bef... ' and system hangs for some minutes. when it's becoms alive this message appears:
the device driver solaris/drivers/notisa.010/cadp160.bef cannot be loaded. The realmode driver is bad.
: disk read error, sector 10773
thats all. i can see logical drive on SmartArray in boot methods menu, but system does not boots from it, saying that it can't found disk.
if i disable integrated Adaptecs 39160 in BIOS, cadp160.bef does not loading in all stages, kernel boots from SmartArray and system reboots in minute.
is there any solution?
thanks in advance.
PS sorry for my terrible English :-)

Re: solaris 9 9/04 install on ML570G2 server
Go back into your System Configuration Utility and do the following:
At server bootup:
Enter the System Management Utilities (Press F10)
Press Ctrl-A (advanced settings)
Configure Hardware
Review or modify hardware settings
View or edit details
Advanced Features, APIC Mode
Enable "Full Table Mapped"
Press F10 to Save and Exit
restart the computer
I am sure that this will fix the problem when you set Full Table Mapped.
Let us know? -john

Sergey:
If you have not already done so, be sure to update the bios:
