swap failed drive - compaq dl380g4 - mirror
I have a failed disk [ultra 320]on the server and need to replace it. it seems all I have to do is hot swap it out hot, and the disk will rebuild. Is there anything I should watch out for, or is it that simple? THANKS.

Re: swap failed drive - compaq dl380g4 - mirror
Is there a Hot Spare Disk assigned to that array?
If YES
Wait for the rebuild do finish on the hot spare drive
If there is no Hot Spare drive
It is that simple...
The performance of the system will slightly degrade as the rebuilding of the failed drive starts as there are many read/write ops on the controller
best regards
