WARNING

After clearing NVRAM don't forget to set the boot control order, otherwise the system will not recognice any bootable device, and it will sacare to hell those who forgot to do it, but t won't damege nor erase any info though...

Thanks for the replies, but this still has not sorted my problem.

Does anyone know how to reset the BIOS to the factory Settings??

Is there away to reset the CMOS??

Hi,

reset CMOS? You just did that. That's what clearing NVRAM does.
If you can manage to boot the server from a floppy, you could download the system erase utility
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/17918.html

and completely wipe the server.

Otherwise, you could try locating the CMOS battery and remove/disconnect it. Wait a few minutes then put it back in, then power up the server and see what happens.

Hi Stephen,

Thanks for the reply, I was able to reset the server.

I removed the battery once I had powered the server down and then set the swicth to clear the NVRAM.

Once I powered up server and the NVRAM Cleared.

Once I had powered down the sever unset the switch and replaced the batter I was able to boot up the server into smart start.
