update iLO4 - 1.1

I have a G8 Proliant DL380p iLO is currently on V 1.1  I would like to update it to current V 2.5.3.

Would it be advisible to step up to V 2.2 first or can I update to latest?

FYI was able to flash firmware to latest without stepping up
