we are trying to install 4 x 599220-001 / OS6176YETCEGO AMD OPTERON 6176 SE 12-CORE 2.3GHZ 6MB L2 CACHE 12MB L3 CACHE to 590480-B21 HP DL585R07 CTO CHASSIS SVR

Bios, maintenance firmware upgraded to the latest version.

Are there any known problems with this king of upgrade?

according quickspecs it is supported CPU, so go on... But - there are even more modern CPU's 6200/6300 available for DL585g7...

we have done this upgrade, server test ok one day, next day it is switched on and will not post, any idea why this happens ?
