upgrading CPUs on a ML370 G1
HI,
I have to ML370 G1s, one has 512mb (x4 128mb) and x2 933 P3's, while the other has 1gb (x2 512mb) and x1 1gb P3.
What I want to do is take the two 933 P3's and 256mb of the ram, put the two 933's in the chasis that had the 1gz cpu and add 256mb ram to the existing 1gb. I want to do it this way as the chasis is in a better state, has a better scsi card in it + working PSU and tape drive.
Would I be right to assume I can do a straight swap? I've tried looking at the motehrboards for ID's with no luck and tried the model numbers in google off the chasis which are 8122frz11089 and 8121flb11021

Hi,
make sure you consider this doc for your processors configuration.

Re: upgrading CPUs on a ML370 G1
thanks, but this doc talks about upgrading to 933mhz where as i'm taking a single 1ghz cpu out of a machine to replace with x2 933 mhz cpu's, is there anything else similar?
BTW, is HP's ftp down cos none of the ML370 downlaods work for software

Hi, does anyone else have any suggestions?
