upgrading memory on ML370G3

I currently have 3.8GB of RAM installed on my Proliant ML370G3 server.
I want to upgrade it by adding another 1G of RAM.
I have heard that because i am taking the total of memory over 4GB that i need to do something else other than just fit the new memory.
Can anyone tell me what i need to do??
Cheers

Note: some applications doesn't support more than 4 GB RAM. For example, Microsoft Exchange cannot use more than 4 GB RAM.
Also, only enterprise/datacenter editions of windows support more than 4 GB RAM

Nothing should be required on the hardware side of things, but if you're running Windows 2003 enterprise or 2000 Advanced, then you may need to add the PAE switch to the boot.ini file.
The truth is out there, but I forgot the URL..

Re: upgrading memory on ML370G3

Notes:
1) Some applications don't support PAE switch and they don't know to use Address
Windows Extensions (AWE) API.
2) When PAE is enabled, you have a small performance impact due to the
extra memory translations required.
3) Windows 2003 RTM have bug related to PAE enabled, you need to install hotfix or use windows 2003 sp1
