usb external disk

I have a DL380 in wich was connected an usb hd external that collapse and i replace it with a new one since this when the machine starts stops starting.
Any idiea of whats going on

What if you connect the disk after the machine started? It's recognized?

DO you have homepage manegement in this server.

Do you ASR activate in this server if yes deactivate it.If you wonder where it tis in the BIOS

Ivan yes after the machine start it recognize that hard disk.
Daniel i must see if what u say is occuring with my machine

Sometimes the server tries to boot from the USB Drive therefore OS will neveer load, you may want to check the boot control oder from RBSU (F9) option.
