weird problem of fan noise on ML370 G5

Hi all,

We are using two ML370 G5 server newly purchased 4 months ago, and now facing weird problem of system fan noise.

Problem is that some time system fan noise become much louder (like system noise at startup). But all LEDs remains green on front panel and system board.

So for we are using this trick to cool it on normal noise, when system become so louder , if when pull the power cord from one power suppy(system has redundant power supplies)
and reinsert it after few seconds, system fan noise become normal.

We have keenly monitored the room temperature, their is no temperature issue, room temperature remains 19 centigrade.

We are facing system fan noise problem on both servers.

What may the cause of this noise behavior.

Hi,

Most of the cases related to abnormal fans noise occur only when there a old firmware revision and PSP has not been updated.
UPdating PSP also is a good option.Because PSP does have driver which can monitor and control fan speed. So, update firmware and PSP.
