Re: what is Proliant ILO

Hello,

Yes, but the ilo is only a remote Desktop. You need an operatings system that can disconnect the NIC. you can do this an the local Desktop or bei ilo Remote.

Re: what is Proliant ILO

so yes, it can turn off all local connectivity?

for instance, i can not ping the clients on that local network and the clients can not ping the server either.
although that server can ping off network clients that have the same permissions that the local clients have.

one day everything was working fine, the next day this happens.

Re: what is Proliant ILO

i am using 2003 standard server
i didnt change anything.
one day it was working fine the next day it would not connect.
i thought it might be the network card, but i changed that as well.
still same results.

i have always had dns issues on this server although it was never anything that would not allow connectivity.

im wondering at this point if it is a virus' that Symantec didnt catch.
i am going to try some online virus scans.

Re: what is Proliant ILO

Hello,

whatever your Problem is, its definitely not the ilo. This is a very usefull remoteconsole. I use it to have physicaly access to my Server in the next room :-)
Symantec have a very good online Virusscan, but it works only with the evil IE.
Why do you dont use a Free Operating System?
