what to document for upgrade to 2000
Does anyone have any information regarding what to document on a compaq proliant servers. There is so much that i can think of to document but not sure if it would be useful info to use as reference. we have roughly 75 servers to upgrade. we are planning to upgrade from nt 4.0 thanks.

Re: what to document for upgrade to 2000
Hi Bill;
From a hardware standpoint, the most useful information to document is the system serial number, the ROM version and date, the version of firmware on any array controller in the system, the version of the System Configuration Utility if the server has one, and the version of drivers you are using in the Operating System environment.
These are the components we look at when troubleshooting servers or making configuration suggestions.
Hope that helps,
Janine
