I have a brand new ML370 G4 (379906-051) with 2 scsi hot-swap 146Go HD
I do not have raid card (but I do want one, so if you have any advice)
I want to install on it a windows 2000 server SP4.
problem : no drive can be found. I do not have this problem with ubuntu 6.06 so I guess I need to upgrade some scsi drivers.
Any help would be appreciated.
thank you in advance
Philippe

SolutionThese are the options for the RAID card or the Smart array controller:
Smart Array 6402/128 Controller - 273915-B21
Smart Array 6404/256 Controller - 273914-B21
Smart Array 641 Controller - 291966-B21
Smart Array 642 Controller - 291967-B21
Refer to this for more info:

Regarding the drivers issue, here is the link for the drivers for the Integrated Dual Channel Ultra320 SCSI Adapter installed in the server:
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/25377.html
Use the F6 option to install the drivers during the installation of the OS.
Check the RBSU Boot Controller Order so the drive controller & channel is the first device on the list
Hope this works!!!!
Regards,
rmn

I will check on this

That I knew ;-)

I guess it is but will look for it
Thanks again

Re: win 2000 on ML370 G4 prob of scsi drivers
The Eazy method to install Windows OS is use the Smart Start CD.
Boot from the Smart Start Cd and it will assit you in installing the OS and the Proliant support Pack(PSP).
If you donot have the Smart Start CD, Download the image from the following link and burn it on a cd:

Re: win 2000 on ML370 G4 prob of scsi drivers
The Previous post was if we had the Smart Array Raid controller installed.
If the harddisk is connected to the onboard controller. Then you could boot from the Windows OS cd and it will automatically detect the harddisks and you could proceed with the installation.

Raj.
