Re: win2003 installation trouble with smartstart
hi,
i386 is where the OS data resides within the Media (OS CD), so I recommend a diff media, also which sscd are you using? you should be using sscd 8.00 (remember that 8.00 comes with 2 discs, one for x86 and the other for x64)

Re: win2003 installation trouble with smartstart
From your error message, it appears that the installer is seeking the i386 directory. If you use a network flat file installation from the SmartStart options and drill into the i386 directory, you're telling the installer to look for the i386 directory IN the i386 directory.
Go up one level from the i386 directory and try the install. It's looking for the directory, not the files therein.
Hope that helps.
