I have the Hp Proliant ML350 G3 buth now i'm going to run the smartstart disk and than i want to install windows. Buth i must install for the company windows 2000 server .Is this also oke because i heart a lot about windows 2k3

Confirm Which os you want to install. check for compatibility from HP Website and proced.

Hey there,

It really depends on what your requirements are and what your organisation's needs are. Yes, you are right there are lots of good thing about Windows 2003 that we implement and play with these days. But, the underlying theory (the way I see it is)its business which drives IT and the not the other way around.

If you have a Windows 2000 license handy and if you have already invested money in it and if it does the job for you, then I don't see any harm in stayin with it. Mind you for future requirements,better performance, more functionalilties Windows 2003 seems to be the way to go.

Have you got a licence for Windows 2003?
