160 Gb in ML330 sees only 131 Gb in bios?

I want to install 2 16OGb disks (366486-B21) in RAID 1 (IDE) in a ML330 G2 (1,133Ghz).
When I boot, the bios-message shows only 131 Gb.
I flashed the latest BIOS, didn't change.

Can Anyone help?

Chipset Limitation, you would not be able see more than 131GB

Hi there.
Try to get the DiskManager software from OnTrack. That will help you over this limit.

Thanx for the answers!

But what will the Ontrack diskmanager do with disks in a raid-set?

Re: 160 Gb in ML330 sees only 131 Gb in bios?

Since most Disk Managers of that sort work with the disk at a Logical Level, I do not see why the Ontrack Overlay can not be applied to a logical drive. most of the time, it is a simple system level file.

The real question is will it work properly with the OS you want to use? Assuming NTFS/Windows, Ontrack might have a virtual device driver for such a case.

Re: 160 Gb in ML330 sees only 131 Gb in bios?

Does the full drive size show up in the OS?

It maybe a BIOS display problem only.
