1611 - Fan 2 Failure Detected
This is on a DL380 running Windows 2003 Server. I replaced this fan with a brand new one and it still shows in a failed state visually and logically. I tried another new fan as well as another known working one from a different slot...same result, failed. Also did a reboot of the system, failed.
This condition exists on another DL380 in my cluster too...is there a system board issue present in these models?

Re: 1611 - Fan 2 Failure Detected
Could you provide the generation of the server in question?
There has been some issues with firmware for the DL38x series regarding fans...
Regards,
Louis

Re: 1611 - Fan 2 Failure Detected
If you are already running DL380 G3 BIOS dated 2004-09-15, please consider replacing the system board.
